The greatest gift we can give our children is the knowledge that they are highly capable and intelligent and can do whatever they set their minds too! This feeling can unfortunately be compromised when a child is just not understanding an aspect/s of their work.

This, in spite of many extra time that gets dedicated to the problem subject, never mind the utter frustration that parents go through as we often are helpless on how to correct the problem, in spite of the extra time that we dedicate to extra studies.

Well, this is where my 8 year old daughter was last year(2010) in terms of her maths. The subject just seemed so foreign and made no sense to her. Maths is such an important subject to master in terms of future studies, so I was extremely worried and had to do "something".
